Art Deco Weekend was created nearly 40 years ago by the Miami Design Preservation League (MDPL) to showcase the beautiful Art Deco buildings of South Beach, saving it for future generations. MDPL’s early work was the catalyst that created the vibrant, world-class city we live in today.

Proceeds from the show will go to the Outreach Foundation, a program run by the U.S. Presbyterian Church that does humanitarian work through churches in Syria. Yaziji is paying for all costs himself, including travel expenses for the Sultans. They are forgoing their usual performance fee. More info:

Color will be a night of music, art, dance, and drinks at the Coral Gables Museum. At this free event, CMN will feature a wide variety of chamber ensembles performing new music by living composers. You can can expect performances of new works for piano, violin, cello, percussion, guitar, and bass. We will also have our famous art gallery, poetry recitations and cash bar!

Calling all junior visual artists! CGM celebrates the artist in you. Children participate in a variety of arts and crafts workshops. The museum becomes a Think Tank for creative ideas for young minds. Guest artists talk about their creative process and preferred mediums, facilitate interactive activities, and perform live. Knight Foundation and our title sponsor South Motors*, we are proud to announce that three of our 2016/2017 Jazz Series artists will participate in a special program on the Sundays following their Saturday night performances entitled Gen-Next Jam. South Motors Gen-Next Jam is an educational initiative where renowned jazz artists mentor gifted students from the New World School of the Arts High School Jazz Program under the direction of Jim Gaisor. These three wonderful workshops will be held in the Banyan Bowl and open to the general public for observation free of charge with general park admissions ($5 for visitors 2 years and over and $3 for seniors 65 and over) and will include full usage of park and park amenities for the day
