Our gallery exhibition in December, ‘A Lover’s Surreal Account’ will be composed of original paintings, drawings and watercolors by Enrique Sendra. The main ingredient in these pieces: surrealism. The art on display will be figurative with a recurring character in many of the pieces, a man on stilts named Ialtus, an alter ego of the artist. The name is constructed of the words I in English and Altus in Latin elevated (meaning I am elevated). Sendra’s hope is: that the viewer will allow their souls and minds soar wildly through his creations dated from 2009 to present day.
