Miami Design District Performance Series Presented by Knight Foundation hosts a special PARADISE PLAZA concert in the Miami Design District for its weekly Friday night ensemble of live musical performances. This weeks features José Feliciano a Puerto Rican guitarist, singer, and songwriter, best known for many international hits, including his rendition of The Doors’ “Light My Fire” and the best-selling Christmas single, “Feliz Navidad”. His music is known for having a mix of styles, for example including both flamenco music and mellow easy listening influences in many songs.

One of Miami’s longest-running cultural events, Cultural Fridays on Calle Ocho in Little Havana is a street party jam-packed into just four blocks. For four hours, the street’s closed down from 13-17 Avenues and bands perform, domino masters play at Domino Park, galleries are open and jewelry makers and artisans sell their wares.

Coral Gables Third Annual Chili Cook Off – Over 20 teams from the South Florida community will compete to see who makes the best chili. There will be entertainment for the whole family, with live music, bounce houses, and other kids activities. All are invited to come out and enjoy the fun and the food and support the local “chefs”. There will also be food and a variety of beverages for sale, including a beer garden sponsored by Concrete Beach Brewery.
